The Science of Seeing

Current Scientific Corporation is a Canadian manufacturer of Electro-Optical Infrared (EO/IR) systems.

Our multi-sensor camera systems are installed worldwide on vessels in a variety of fields, including coast guard, super-yachts, paramilitary & navy, ferries & explorer cruises, icebreakers, marine mammal research, and other specialty vessels. We also have land-based systems deployed internationally for use in coastal surveillance.

Our NN series offers high quality night vision for all marine applications by incorporating high-resolution thermal imaging, gated image-intensified HD night vision and high-definition day cameras.

CURRENT continually invests in R&D to create and refine a diverse range of systems for a growing list of applications, including safety and security, and environmental and conservation measures. These include anti-piracy, marine mammals and whale spout detection, extreme weather search and rescue, and oil spill detection.

For yachts at sea, our mast mounted systems can detect and identify potential threats early enough to give the crew or security team time to respond appropriately. This is a must have for those whose security and privacy is a priority.

The integration of IR cameras means the Night Navigator™ can keep operations running day or night, in all levels of visibility.

The ability of a vessel to detect and then avoid a collision with a marine mammal has become increasingly important in marine-based industries.

FAQs

Q OCEAN SUSTAINABILITY

The ability of a vessel to detect and then avoid a collision with a marine mammal has become increasingly important in marine-based industries. NN series thermal imaging systems can be interfaced with the Mysticetus™ software and have been proven to detect marine mammals and whale spouts, giving marine vessels sufficient time to alter course and avoid a collision. Multiple sensor configurations are available in both uncooled and cooled thermal imaging, offering a broad range of fields of view or levels of optical zoom. Each payload is gyro-stabilized with the ability to continuously pan through a full 360°, meaning that a target being tracked can be kept in view without interruption.

Q CERTIFICATION

Current Scientific Corporation's Quality Management System is in compliance and is certified to the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
